my parents have been married for more than 30 years. both sets of grandparents, and all their parents, and their parents...all down the line, as far as i know, were married one time and stayed married until they died. i am amazed at how many people find this strange. they are amazed that i find broken families, step siblings, half siblings and the like a strange concept.

it's just a thought on my mind today, because my brother was talking about this. he married his high school girlfriend, and both of them come from several generations of one marriage families.

i think there's hope for me.

i would talk about the holidays, but gosh darn, hasn't everyone already covered that subject? suffice to say, despite badly missing the person i wanted to celebrate with..i had a good one..
