THE VASE

last sunday clumsy me broke a freakin valuable vase. i panicked and hurriedly kept it under my bed with plans of burying it in the backyard lawn later. then i went to my fave mall to look for an exact replacement before people finds out. ahuh, i didn't plan to let anyone know :p

while i was on the road i thought back to those halcyon days of being dragged along when my parents go to flea markets and antique shows. flea markets and antique shows are not exactly playgrounds for five year olds. there are way, way too many things to break, and i seem to attract breakables. in fact, i have a "broken things burial ground" in our backyard lawn for all the things that didn't survive my childhood. my parents often wondered where this particular lamp, or that particular carnival glass bowl went.

so where am i now? oh yeah, the vase. i found one exactly the same as the one i broke. but it was $350!!!! i took like two rounds walk trying to decide whether i'll buy it or just let everyone know i broke the vase.

i just told them.

i hope they never decide to excavate the lawn.
