VD = NOT THE DISEASE OKAY?!?!
here's some random stuff about my vd (i'm talking about the holiday okay.. the hearts day.. hmm i noticed just now that the intials VD display such an uncanny prescience hahaha!!!!)
well um..okies :
1) flowers flowers : red roses, pink roses, yellow tulips and....yes!! someone hit the jackpot!!!! I GOT PINK CARNATIONS yay!! men sometimes do thier homework...
2) a big heart shaped box of max brenners
3) small heart balloons from my favorite lil people
anyways, i went out. YES I DID with two of my bestest friends last night. we all didn't have dates (BY CHOICE) so we went together. my friend K's bf is out of town on biz and my guy friend was ditched a few months ago and was hurt big time to ask a new girl out...
as usual, i was ready to be picked up an hour early. while waiting here's what went on inside my head as i watched people around from our porch...
boy and girl.
sweet young things.
around their late teens.
walking infront of me, lost in their worls of cute cupids, beating hearts, and chocolate cream cakes with caramel toppings.
they walk as if walking on air, hand in hand. hip to hip. shoulder to shoulder. eye to eye. nose to nose.
i watch this scene with a hint of jealousy.
then came another couple. family friends. not so young. 50's up. they have kids and are grandparents in the making. in fact the guy is balding. there's nothing on top but a few overstaying weeds which he compensates with bushy eyebrows, combing them upwards as far as possible..haha
the woman on the other hand is gifted, endowed and abundant. she has cellulite deposits with interest compounded daily. and it's not difficult for anyone to believe that she recieves all that life has to offer.
(hey, i'm not being mean, just trying a lil harder to be entertaing here ya know).
this fifty-ish couple does something that blows my mind.
they walked hand in hand, hip to hip, shoulder to shoulder, nose to nose as well.
and for some reason, i find this couple's handholding so different from the way the young lovebirds infront of me held their hands.
i felt it wasn't just cutey-sweety symbol. it's proven. full. real. unquestionable. backed up by years of cooking meals, washing dishes, doing laundry, raising bratty kids..
ahhh.. this thought took me to dreamland. where someone is holding my hand and will prove it for the next 35 years.
and beyond.
